The 39-year-old accused one Greater Manchester Police Officer of trying to 'bait' him into a reaction so they could 'arrest him legitimately'.

Tommy can be heard asking “what are you going on about?” as the officer asks “do you understand that?” It is not clear if Robinson was arrested but there was certainly a feisty confrontation. He was later deported from the country for being a national security threat, Robinson claims.

Robinson previously posted clips in which he claimed Mexican police had refused to tell him why he was being detained, telling the camera: ‘I’ve never broken a law here. In a later post he appeared to be sat elsewhere in the airport while talking to the camera. After sharing footage of the airport altercation he begged his followers to send him money, posting a broken link which redirected users to a non-existent page on his website.

Tommy Robinson - real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon - was seen grappling with a police officer after claiming he was deported from Mexico.

In a later video shared from the airport, Robinson accused the police of trying to ‘bait me into a reaction so they could arrest me’. Robinson declared bankruptcy after he was ordered to pay £100,000 in damages after he falsely accused a Syrian schoolboy of ‘violently attacking young English girls in his school’. Robinson was trying to head on holiday with his kids and friends despite reportedly facing jail time for contempt of court after he failed to show up for a hearing in which he was to be questions on his finances.

Tommy Robinson has been filmed being confronted by police at Manchester Airport after he claimed he got deported from Mexico.

He said he was arrested at Cancun Airport, and in a clip he insisted he had not broken the law in Mexico and "all I do at home is talk about Islam". He is held next to a wall as Robinson asks "what are you going on about?" In a separate clip, Robinson is told an officer is "convinced" he "breached security" and says he has acted within the law, before Robinson calls him the "most aggressive police officer I’ve ever witnessed".
