They made it very tricky for us to set fields, it was a very good wicket and that innings by Alyssa was outstanding. Shrubsole, the hero in 2017 as England beat India in the final, was once again involved in the closing action as she was the final wicket to go, Gardner taking the winning catch as England fell 71 runs short with Sciver stranded on 148 not out. A packed Hagley Oval rose to applaud as Healy departed with Australia on 316 for two before another wicket came in Shrubsole’s over as Ashleigh Gardner was run out for one. And she then surpassed the highest score in a Women’s World Cup final as she moved to 111 with a four off Cross. As against the West Indies in the semi-final, Haynes’ half-century came first – off 69 balls – before Healy’s was brought up off 62 as they eased their way to the highest opening partnership in a World Cup final. Nat Sciver’s stand of 148 not out was not enough to overturn Australia’s remarkable 356-5, a new record in a women’s World Cup final bettered only in significance by Alyssa Healy’s 170 from 138 balls – a new record for a women’s or men’s World Cup final.

The 29-year-old had already scored a ton against Australia in their opening match of the tournament, which England also lost, and did so again in the final in Christchurch, including the only six of the match. Australia’s Alyssa Healy struck a sensational record-breaking century as her side powered to a 71-run victory over England to win the Women’s World Cup.

GDF15 is expressed at its highest levels in the placenta, and in other organs at lower levels which increase in response to physical stress, such as a heart attack or infection. I returned to work in the middle of my second trimester when I had stopped vomiting throughout the day. “What you need to remember about hyperemesis,” she said, “is that most of it is…” She pointed her index finger towards the side of her forehead, tracing circles in the air, and then planted her fingertip firmly on her temple. When “pernicious vomiting of pregnancy” was first described in medical literature by the French obstetrician Paul Dubois in 1852, hysteria was being used to explain away many female complaints. But as I held the prescription, I could not see these numbers in the way I would as a doctor. “The less I worked, the worse it was. “Nearly half the women on the ward have hyperemesis,” I said flintily to one of my seniors. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, thalidomide was given off-licence to treat pregnancy sickness. I bought a miniature Tens machine to wear on the nei guan pressure point on the inside of my wrist. I explained my situation to a different doctor. She was kind, suggested I take the cyclizine and wrote me a sicknote for a fortnight. It was the last time I would be at work for more than two months.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Rachel Kuehn and Carson Scarboro aren't related but they shared a moment behind the clubhouse at Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday.

“It makes me really excited and happy to get to see them play out here,” said Carson Scarboro, staring at the autograph she just received. I would compare it to the U.S. Amateur. It's different because it's not match play, but we get to play two amazing courses, and they invite the top 75 girls in the world. Rachel made birdies on three of her first four holes at Augusta National Saturday, and then another on the seventh, to suddenly get within one of the lead. At what other field do you get to play genuinely the best field in the world?” I couldn’t see my child play today and I was complaining about it, but I shouldn’t be complaining about it,” said Brenda of the sizable galleries estimated to be as large as 20,000. How they play the game … the whole thing is different.” She needed to rally when she returned to Champions Retreat, host for the first 36 holes, to finish a rain-delayed second round on Friday morning. I have to hit the fairway,’ ” Rachel said. It came with a bogey on the last hole, a dropped shot that left the woman who had clinched the winning point for the U. S. in last year’s Curtis Cup at two-over 218 and too far back to realistically think her score would hold up. Three years ago, when officials at Augusta National established the ANWA, it was in hopes that little moments like these would become realities, connections made that would translate into lasting memories. AUGUSTA, Ga. — Rachel Kuehn and Carson Scarboro aren’t related but they shared a moment behind the clubhouse at Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday. The golf ball doesn't know your age (young or old), and Davis has now done something that only 56 other humans (and only one other teenager) can say they have done in the 85-year history of this golf club. Stone was up two strokes at that point after an impressive birdie on the 16th hole, but she doubled No. 17 and made bogey at the last to go from 3 under and a win that looked safe to even par, one back of Davis for a playoff. On a day when only four women shot under par, she played the first nine in 35 and the second in a bogey-free 34 to get in the clubhouse at 1 under, just ahead of the leaders. The best finish of her career is probably the 2021 Girls Junior PGA Championship, and this year's ANWA was thought to be a stepping stone, not a launching pad. Now she's part of that lore, and the ANWA has flexed a different muscle each year with its winner. You certainly were not doing what 16-year-old Anna Davis did Saturday at the Augusta National Women's Amateur where she shot a 3-under 69 to finish at 1 under and win by a single stroke over a pair of LSU Tigers in Ingrid Lindblad and Latanna Stone.

The pair have so far added 68 runs for the opening wicket after 15 overs and are looking in fine touch. Australia scripted an unbeaten run to reach their seventh World Cup final while England lost their first three games, including their opener against Australia by 12 runs, which left them on the verge of elimination, but a five-match winning streak, including the semi-final win against South Africa, worked in their favour as the defending champions made their sixth World Cup final. Australia power to Women's Cricket World Cup final win over England (The Guardian)

Alyssa Healy hit a record-breaking 170 as Australia set a target of 357 runs, with England falling well short despite Nat Sciver's heroics.

In reply, England refused to surrender their title without a fight: Tammy Beaumont, Knight, Amy Jones and Sophia Dunkley all got into the twenties. This was meant to be one-day international cricket but as Healy and Mooney smashed boundary after boundary there were echoes of March 2020, when the pair annihilated India in the T20 version of this event. Rachael Haynes (68 off 93) was her early partner in crime, hitting her fourth fifty-plus score of the tournament after she, too, enjoyed a let-off by England, put down at backward point by Danni Wyatt on 47. Healy reached her ton in the 35th over and from there, all bets were off as she added another 70 runs in just 38 deliveries. Runs came thick and fast, all around the ground – Katherine Brunt’s short balls were pulled ferociously, Dean was driven out of the attack, and tournament leading wicket-taker Sophie Ecclestone went for 71 across her 10 overs. On a sunny April Sunday at Christchurch, Meg Lanning’s Australia were formally named the best ODI team in the world, stealing the crown from reigning champions England by 71 runs.

Australia lift seventh World Cup with Healy's monumental 170 (ESPNcricinfo.com)

Australia Women 356 for 5 (Healy 170, Haynes 68, Mooney 62) beat England Women 285 (Sciver 148*, Jonassen 3-58, King 3-64) by 71 runs.

Healy was finally stumped while chasing a Shrubsole delivery outside off and Australia sent in big-hitting Gardner, only to see her run out three balls later. It counted for little as Mooney, promoted to No. 3, set about scoring at better than a-run-a-ball and Healy continued her showcase. Healy and fellow opener Rachael Haynes both passed New Zealander Debbie Hockley's 1997 record of 456 for most runs scored in a single edition of a Women's World Cup, Healy ending with 509 and Haynes 497 after her 68 today. Dunkley put on 50 runs with Sciver for the fifth wicket before being bowled round her legs by King for the second time in as many meetings. On the penultimate ball of her allocation, King was left wondering how Sciver was still standing after sending a bottom edge so fine it almost brushed leg stump. The undefeated Australians' dominance of this tournament was complete with Healy's magnificent 170 off 138 balls setting England a mammoth target of 357.
