The Grand National - the world's best known horse race - will begin at Aintree on April 7 with the main race on April 9. The 2022 race will be the first time spectators have been allowed in since 2019 due to Covid. James allowed her to coast home after the last, as Kitty's Light stayed on dourly to claim second, seven lengths adrift. Welsh trainer Christian Williams stole the headlines on Saturday afternoon as he watched both Win My Wings and Kitt's Light impress in Ayr.

When asked about his training with Win My Wings, Williams added: "She always looked like a good mare and we knew she was a good horse. "We can't give too much of what we do away! They're two wonderful horses."
