Kylie took to Twitter to pay tribute to the show that catapulted her into fame. Channel 5 first announced its plans to drop the programme from its schedules, prompting production company Fremantle Media - in charge of producing Neighbours - to try and find a new home for the soap. Kylie quit the programme in mid-1988 to focus on her music career, after winning a Gold Logie for her role.
