The sheriff’s office said in a statement that its Marine Unit and helicopter had assisted the Coast Guard in the search and found the diver on the ocean floor around 3 p.m. McIntyre, 58, came to work at South Shore in 2012 as a hospitalist — a physician who treats inpatients — and went on to become medical director for the Division of Hospital Medicine, then chairman of the Department of Medicine, the hospital said in a statement. Colleagues of Dr. Robert K. McIntyre, who died Thursday in an apparent scuba diving accident in Florida, remembered the veteran physician and hospital administrator on Friday as “a clinician at heart” who was dedicated to patient care and served as a mentor to the doctors and nurses he worked with.

The aircraft rendezvoused over the America’s Finest about 92 miles northwest of Dutch Harbor, and the helicopter aircrew hoisted the injured man at 12:52 p.m. The patient was flown to Dutch Harbor and taken in care of LifeMed emergency medical personnel. An injured crewman on the 262-foot processing vessel America’s Finest was airlifted by the Coast Guard to Dutch Harbor, Alaska, in a coordinated operation including a helicopter from the cutter Alex Haley. As the America’s Finest made way toward Dutch Harbor, the command center coordinated the launch of the Haley’s HH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew, and a Coast Guard HC-130 Hercules long-range aircraft from Air Station Kodiak to support the operation.

It's possible that the flag, if authentic, was a gift from the prior Tennessee National Guard deployment to Ukraine. Telegram posts said the flag had been found in a backpack near the remains of "militants" killed in Marinka All three had come back to the US by 2019, the Guard said.

The Guard have continued to prove themselves as a top North American team by defeating Sentinels in the 2022 North American VCT Challengers One main event ...

The second half followed the same tune as The Guard won both rounds without dropping a player, dominating Sentinels to close out the series 2-0. The Guard maintained the momentum in the second half, successfully defending A site from a hectic Sentinels push. They successfully won the following round, but The Guard once again came on top in round five by taking A. The Guard continued to dominate in the next two rounds, but Sentinels narrowly won round eight to stop the bleeding. They changed their focus to B site in round two and won another round without much trouble. The Guard won the final round of the half to finish with a dominant 8-4 scoreline. The dominant team defeated Sentinels on their map pick before securing a brutal 13-1 win on Icebox to coles the series.

All Tennessee National Guard members returned safely in 2019, the statement said. They were allegedly targeted after members of the Tennessee National Guard's 278th Armored Calvary Regiment took part in a 2018 multinational training mission in Ukraine, and the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service published articles on the mission. The National Guard disputed a Russian media report that claimed three American soldiers were killed in Ukraine. In a statement on Thursday, the guard said not only was the report "false," but that the soldiers named in the report were not even in Ukraine.

TN National Guard Airlifts Hiker Off Appalachian Trail (JEMS.com)

A medical flight crew conducted an emergency air evacuation mission after a hiker suffered a severe illness on the Appalachian Trail.

The entire rescue mission took less than an hour and a half. Shortly after 9 a.m., Farrar hoisted both patient and paramedic into the aircraft. Once alerted, the Tennessee National Guard began preparing for an emergency rescue mission.

In November, 160 Florida National Guard soldiers assigned to the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team deployed to Ukraine to train local forces as Russia began massing thousands of troops along its eastern border with Ukraine. Pravda.ru identified the Guard members by name and rank and wrote they were found with grenade launchers, a mortar radar device and other weaponry. Russian launched a missile attack on the base last week, killing 35 and injuring 134 others. Pravda.ru publishes in four languages and is not affiliated with the Communist Party-led Pravda newspaper, whose website is gazeta-pravda.ru. “All members of the Tennessee National Guard returned safely to their home state in 2019 after a successful mission,” the National Guard said. When Russia invaded Ukraine with more than 150,000 troops Feb. 24, most people — especially Russian President Vladimir Putin — expected a Russian cakewalk.

"At the time, they kind of knew that it was coming, but they didn't want to believe it," he said. "They came within a day or two of predicting when the invasion was going to come," he said. The Guardsmen worked in logistics and sustainment — the lifeblood of any military. Prior to 2014, the California Guard would send a few dozen trainers at a time to Ukraine. After the Russian invasion, this commitment numbered in the hundreds and training accelerated. This allowed the state and the partner military personal to bond in a personal way, the official said. If they didn't have the capability, Baldwin worked with National Guard units around the United States to make sure Ukrainian service members got the training they needed. I have been impressed though, with their ability at the national level, to work through some of the challenges we thought they still had in terms of logistics and command control." Baldwin said the effort to train the Ukrainian military is really a team effort. "Their Air Force is a lot better than everyone thought except for the California Air National Guard who knew that these guys were pretty good." While the program started in Europe, it expanded, first to U.S. Southern Command and then to the rest of the combatant commands. "When you pick up the phone to call, you know the person on the other end of the line," he said. The three most notable aspects of Soviet rule were two Moscow-induced famines in the 1920s and 1930s that killed an estimated 8 million Ukrainians, and World War II, that killed another 8 million.

Our coverage of the VCT Challengers Stage 1 playoffs continues tomorrow, March 19, for the semifinals rounds between Cloud9 and OpTic, and The Guard and Luminosity. In an absolute dismantling of the previous Masters Reykjavik champs, The Guard put on a clinic and shut down Sentinels completely, 13-1. Looking ahead, The Guard now progress to the semifinals round of the VCT playoffs, where Luminosity Gaming await them after pulling off a massive upset over top-seeded Version1 earlier today. After stunning SEN (quite literally) on Bind, 13-6, The Guard didn’t let their opponents gain any sort of momentum to try and bounce back in the series. Even going up against Sentinels on their opponents’ best map, where SEN had a close to 90 percent win rate, Trent and his team were unfazed. Emerging as the second seed from Group A, suffering a loss only to Cloud9, The Guard are hungry to prove themselves in the playoffs stage.
