Unseen Raphinha gesture that shows his head remains firmly at ... (Leeds Live)

There aren't many players in the Leeds United squad who could match the composure Raphinha showed in the fourth minute of stoppage time to lay it on a plate ...

His gesture, coupled with the way he celebrated the win after the match, shows just how much Raphinha does care about the club. However, at the weekend, not only will his excellent display have put to bed those murmurs of discontent, but also an unseen gesture he did in the tunnel prior to kick off that has recently surfaced on social media. While it doesn’t on the face of it look anything major, when you consider how iconic it is for Liverpool players to touch the ‘This is Anfield’ sign in the tunnel before the match as they enter the field of play, this could be the 25-year-old’s way of replicating that.

Tottenham should spend 'a lot of money' on Leeds star – Sherwood (Football365.com)

Leeds United winger Raphinha is worth spending "a lot" of money on, according to former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood.

I’d like to have him at Tottenham, I think he’d be a great player at Tottenham.” It depends how regularly he wants to play, and Leeds’ ambition. I’m not exaggerating to say he could play anywhere in the Premier League. There is not a team he wouldn’t fit.

"Makes a lot of sense" - Leeds United face crucial Raphinha ... (LeedsAllOver)

Raphinha continues to provide Leeds United with belief they can stay up in the Premier League this season. Leeds were 2-1 winners over Norwich City on ...

Indeed, with two years remaining on his contract at the summer, there will still be some scope for Leeds to negotiate any offers that come in once the market opens, meaning if they are still a Premier League side, it would feel plausible to see Raphinha at Elland Road at the start of next season. However, if Leeds do stay up, then the Brazilian could be tempted to stay, given how he appears to have enjoyed life at Elland Road, especially if they show signs of progressing up the league under Jesse Marsch, something that he may well want to be part of. There is no way they will be able to keep a player of his ability if they drop out of the top-flight, given he is clearly good enough to be competing at a much higher level than the second-tier.

Former Tottenham boss urges Spurs to go for Raphinha in summer (Teamtalk.com)

Tim Sherwood says Leeds United will struggle to keep Raphinha this summer and has urged Tottenham to break the bank to sign him.

I’m not exaggerating to say he could play anywhere in the Premier League. There is not a team he wouldn’t fit. He has now made seven appearances for the national team and scored three goals, one of which was in February in the 4-0 win over Paraguay. Leeds want to extend his stay and make him their highest earner in the process. It depends how regularly he wants to play, and Leeds’ ambition,” Sherwood told the Sport Optus Analysis Show. The former Rennes man has scored nine times this season and contributed three assists. But American boss Marsch has counted on Raphinha for every minute of all three games he has taken charge for.

'He will cost a lot of money': Sherwood wants Tottenham to sign 'low ... (HITC)

Tim Sherwood has urged Tottenham to complete a deal for Leeds United attacker Raphinha - but believes he will cost a lot of money.

But Kulusevski is versatile and he could revert to wing-back, with Raphinha in front of him. I’m not exaggerating to say he could play anywhere in the Premier League. There is not a team he wouldn’t fit. In 57 Premier League appearances, he has had a hand in 27 goals – scoring 15 and creating 12.

Sherwood says he'd love Tottenham to sign Raphinha from Leeds (The Boot Room)

Tim Sherwood has suggested that he would love to see Raphinha sign for Tottenham Hotspur from Leeds United this summer.

The price would surely be a problem for a club like Tottenham if Leeds stay up. If Leeds stay up, Raphinha is going to cost a considerable amount for any admirer. I’m not exaggerating to say he could play anywhere in the Premier League. There is not a team he wouldn’t fit. Raphinha will currently be focused on trying to keep Leeds in the top-flight. I’d like to have him at Tottenham, I think he’d be a great player at Tottenham.” Certainly, a number of sides are likely to try their luck.
