After four seasons at the helm of Georgia’s men’s basketball program, head coach Tom Crean has been fired.

Georgia men's basketball coach Tom Crean will not return for his fifth season with the Bulldogs, the school announced on Thursday.

We believe a leadership change in men's basketball is needed to achieve our goals." The school owes Crean a $3.2 million buyout, per his contract. "I would like to sincerely thank Coach Crean and his family for their commitment to Georgia Basketball," Georgia AD Josh Brooks said in a statement.
